On the train with the Hot Dog Cart, the only problem is the gas canister.

Heading to Southbank
London is such a cosmopolitan city, but there are still Londoners who have lived here for generations. It intrigued me to learn how we describe ourselves. Really, who is a Londoner? Recent arrivals who claim the city, or locals who identify with a specific suburb or neighbourhood within London?

Can I stand here?
This small area along the South Bank is the only place I could set up my cart without being moved on. Invisible boundaries define commercial and council boundaries.

A beggar' bowls
"A frankfurter and sauerkraut in a bun in exchange for 5 minutes conversation on who's a Londoner"? I ask. The beggar turns me down, it's money he wants.

Convenience
From Ghana day before yesterday, Paris yesterday, London today. "I'm a Londoner" he says!

Caught on Camera
A frame from the Japanese television crew who caught the interaction between me and a William Blake enthusiast as he dug for memorabilia in the exposed sand. He was interested in William Blake, the Londoner, they were interested in him. I'm a New Zealander, my ancestor was Blake's patron, it's a small world.
